In this program, children will learn a variety of yoga skills, including but not limited to:

  • how to use their breath for calm or energy

  • yoga poses and active movement exercises

  • meditation techniques for focus and concentration

  • how yoga and mindfulness benefit various aspects of life (school, sports and activities, friends and family relationships, community and service, etc.)

This series supports growing elementary-aged kids with movement, mindfulness, and playful group engagement. Through imaginative yoga sequences, dynamic games, and leadership opportunities, children build confidence, coordination, and social-emotional skills. Breathwork and relaxation techniques help with focus and emotional regulation. Parents receive weekly communication with an overview of the skills their children learned and tips for incorporating them at home.

Parents are invited to join the last class of the series, where we will hold a combined family yoga class, tying together the concepts and practices learned throughout the session.
