Yoga and Mindfulness in Schools

$100.00

Grades: K2 - 3

I love bringing yoga and mindfulness into school communities, helping students build focus, confidence, and calm through movement and breath.

At South Boston Catholic Academy, I created and teach a year-long preschool yoga curriculum that introduces little ones to yoga and mindfulness in playful, age-appropriate ways. I also lead a spring after-school program for older students, giving them tools to support both body and mind.

At Perry Elementary School, I partner with the physical education department to teach a four-week yoga and mindfulness unit, weaving yoga into the broader wellness curriculum.

Parents of students in my school programs receive regular communication with information about the skills and tools their children are learning, along with tips for supporting these practices at home.

Join “Ms. E” for Spring Yoga Club at SBCA!

During this 5-week after-school program open to grades K2 - 3, students will learn yoga poses, breath work, active movement and relaxation techniques.  They'll also have fun working together during partner and group activities as well as games.  SBCA's yoga teacher and founder of The Family Yoga Project, Erin Holland ("Ms. E"), plans each week’s session with a different theme that will guide all activities. The goal is for students to have fun while building strength and flexibility, increasing their body awareness, and learning emotional regulation tools.

  • The club is open to EDP and non-EDP students.  Non-EDP students will be dismissed at the front door at 3:30.  Please note this in the questionnaire during registration.
